WE TEMPORARY STOP ACCEPTING NEW BOOKING/ RESCHEDULING FOR ALL SURGERY DATES FROM MAY TO SEPTEMBER 2021 – UPDATE 25 APRIL 2021

BOOKINGS STILL ACCEPT FOR SURGERY DATE FROM OCTOBER ONWARD!

Due to the Ministry of Public Health’s latest announcement on April 19, we decide to TEMPORARY stop accepting new booking/ rescheduling for surgery dates from now until end of September 2021.

If you wish to reserve your surgery for the date after October, you can still do so by contacting our admin team at admin@supornclinic.com

*** Ministry of Public Health has suspended all its approval for the Confirmation Letter for Alternative Hospital Quarantine AHQ ***

Due to the recent outbreak for the COVID-19 cases in Thailand, the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has issued the announcement on April 19 to suspend all its approval for the confirmation letter for alternative hospital quarantine AHQ. This confirmation letter is required for the incoming travelers seeking COE under ‘Foreigner with medical appointment’ and ‘Foreigner with medical appointment (accompanied person)’.

There is no official announcement as to how long the suspension will take place. Many have speculated that it may take up to a month, but no one has the accurate clue.

For clients whose reservations are in May and who have not yet received the confirmation letter for alternative hospital quarantine AHQ with official stamp from us, it is highly likely that we need to reschedule your operations to further dates. Our admin team will contact you individually to reschedule your appointment.

For clients whose reservations are in June, it is possible that the current suspension may not affect your surgery date if the MOPH could resume its approval by early to mid May. Our admin team will contact you individually to provide you with detailed plan should you decide to keep your surgery date. If you wish to reschedule your surgery, you can do so by informing our admin team via email.

For clients whose reservations are from July onward, we believe that there will be no impact on your surgery date at the moment. Please continue to check our latest news section for more update. If you wish to reschedule your surgery, please contact our admin team via email.

WE ARE ACCEPTING BOOKINGS FOR CLIENTS FROM ‘RED ZONE’ COUNTRIES – Update 1 March 2021

We are delighted to announce that we will be accepting bookings from prospective clients from the ‘Red Zone’ countries. We expect that the situation will be better in the next 6 months and that the regulations on international travel will be mostly relaxed. However, please take note of the following conditions before making your reservation:

  • Booking only accepted from September 2021 onward: At the moment, Thailand still prohibits citizens from the ‘Red Zone’ countries to travel into Thailand with the COE typed ‘Foreigners with Medical Appointment’. Please note that, under the rules from the Ministry of Public Health, you MUST come with this type of COE to be eligible for medical treatment in Thailand, other types of COE permits are not allowed for surgery at the moment. The list of Green Zone countries has gradually and positively changed to include more and more countries. We expect that majority of the countries will be in the Green Zone by this coming September. You may see the list of the ‘Green Zone’ countries from our Travel to Thailand section.
  • Must be flexible with changing your surgery date: It is still very difficult to predict what will happen in the next 6 months, therefore, if thing does not go as we expect, we may need to postpone your surgery date. We currently provide ‘Worry-Free’ Booking’ to all our prospective clients, no penalty nor fee charged if there is any need to postpone the operation. All we need from you is to inform us ASAP if you must change the reserved date. Please feel free to check our available date from our Calendar.

If you already have an operation reserved or provisionally reserved with us, you have a priority in scheduling your operation. Please feel free to contact us to schedule your appointment at your convenience.

Our team is ready to assist you, please contact admin@supornclinic.com to reserve your date.

STAY SAFE!

Cosmetic Improvement

Unfortunately we are not yet able to accept booking for cosmetic improvement (CI) because the stringent safety regulations do not allow us to perform any surgery in the Clinic itself. However, as previously notified, we have extended your warranty to compensate for the time we have been closed. We anticipate that we may be able to resume in the second half of 2021.

Reopening after Covid-19 Coronavirus Crisis Update 27 October 2020

Dear Clients

We are excited to announce that we are now in able to start opening up our doors again, and accept clients for surgery. Initially, though, we are limiting the clients that we can accept to those who already had reserved an operation with us when we had to close because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Thailand is opening up for visitors from countries that it considers to be “safe” from Covid-19 ( “Green Zone” ), but is not allowing visitors from countries that still have unacceptably high incidences of Covid-19 ( “Red Zone” ).

We are sending out individual email invitations to clients using the same priority on our suspended calendar (our “Priority List”), but can only directly invite clients in Thailand’s “Green Zone”. Those letters will explain the additional procedures that the Thai Government expects you to have completed before and during your visit

When we have received responses from those clients, we will then re-assess the schedule, and send further invitations individually as necessary.

If you are on the Priority List, but in the ”Red Zone” we will also email you explaining the situation, but as soon as your country moves into the “Green Zone” you will move up the priority list and receive an explicit invitation to come for surgery.

If you already have an operation reserved or provisionally reserved, you need take no action. We will contact you.

If you do not already have an operation booked, please wait until we publish the calendar with free dates before asking for a date. We cannot offer you a date at the moment irrespective of where you live, and will not do so until the calendar is made public again. We don’t know exactly when that will be, but are hopeful we will be able to republish available dates early in the first quarter of 2021.

Cosmetic Improvement

Unfortunately, we are not yet able to accept booking for cosmetic improvement (CI) because the stringent safety regulations do not allow us to perform any surgery in the Clinic itself. However, as previously notified, we have extended your warranty to compensate for the time we have been closed. We anticipate that we may be able to resume early in 2021.

Our approach is always to be “Cautious and Safe”, which we understand is frustrating for some – but it is essential. Please bear with us, and remain patient a little longer.

Watch this space for further news and meanwhile  ………………. STAY SAFE!

Reopening after Covid-19 Coronavirus Crisis Update 23 August 2020

It’s been a long while since we have been able to give you an update on the situation about Covid-19 and its effect on our being able to start to schedule operations again, but over the past 3 months or so there has been no change that we have been able to report. During that period we hope that you have remained strong and healthy and have not been directly affected in any way by this disease.

Thailand’s own efforts to minimize the effects of the virus have been exceptionally effective. They are proud of their achievement, and are keen to ensure that they keep the disease under control and their citizens safe. Thailand has experienced fewer than 100 deaths since the epidemic started, and are now essentially fully open internally – but of course are aware that other nations have been less successful. Thailand’s economy relies heavily on tourism, so naturally they are eager to open up the country to visitors as quickly as they can, but they will not do so if they consider the risks of re-inflaming the Covid-19 in Thailand are too high.

The Thai government has recently issued guidelines for visitors wishing to come to Thailand for essential medical reasons.  “Essential Medical Reasons” do not include elective or cosmetic procedures – which SRS and FFS are both considered to be. They also only apply to potential visitors from countries considered by the Thai government to be “safe”, which currently is an extremely small number, and excludes the home countries of the vast majority of all our potential clients.

So for now – we still are not yet able to reopen our doors to clients unfortunately. However, the movement to enabling patients to travel for essential operations is a very encouraging sign, and we are optimistic that we will be able to offer surgery again before too long – but as yet we simply don’t know exactly when that will be. We can say though that the administrative procedures that visitors traveling for Essential Medical Reasons are very restrictive and complex, and as they stand would be impractical to expect our clients to comply with even if they or we were allowed to do so. They would also involve the patient in having to pay a lot extra for testing and quarantining for a mandatory period before actual surgery. We do not want to impose those additional burdens on any of our clients, so we will be waiting longer before we are able to comply with any regulations the Thai government expects of us, and of any clients who wish to come for surgery with us.

Initially we can say for certain that we will be only able to accept clients whose operations will be done in hospital, where we have the facilities to monitor for Covid-19, and to quickly isolate if necessary. We anticipate we will not be able to accept clients for operations to be done in the Clinic rather than hospital until some while after we have proven the additional measure involved with doing operations in hospital, so there will be a further delay before we can accept clients for free Cosmetic Improvement procedures. We will however continue to honor the promise we made earlier which was:

For those who underwent primary surgery on or after 7 September 2018, we will extend the normal window of opportunity for free CI to be done (normally 18 months) by the longer period of the following:

  1. 6 months,  or
  2. The length of time elapsed between 7 March 2020 and the (as-yet-unknown) date we re-open the on-line calendar for scheduling new primary operations.

For the time being then, we have to ask you to remain safe and to keep an eye on this page for further updates which we will give you as soon as we have something to tell you. We hope that will be soon.

Latest Information Regarding Measures Taken During Covid-19 Coronavirus Crisis Update 7 April 2020

Suspension of all Operations

Because there is ongoing uncertainty about when it will be safe to resume operations following successful elimination of the Covid-19 coronavirus, we have taken the step of suspending all currently scheduled operations. This takes immediate effect.

How Does this Affect Me?

  • Clients Who Have a Date Currently Reserved or Provisionally Reserved

All clients who have currently scheduled an operation will shortly receive an individual email from us explaining what this will mean for their own reservation. Please wait for the email to arrive before asking any questions. Please be assured that we will do or utmost to reschedule your operations date in the fairest possible way, giving priority to new dates in the same order that they are currently reserved.

We sincerely regret and apologize for the inconvenience this will cause to all affected clients.

  • Potential Clients Who Have Not Yet Reserved a Date for Surgery

Regrettably you will be unable to reserve a date for any operation until such time as the calendar is republished at http://www.supornclinic.com/clients/calendar.htm

Right now, we are unable to say when that will be, so please try to be patient and wait for it to be published. We will not accept or acknowledge any requests for new reservations. However, we encourage you to ask for information about our operations as part of your normal research leading up to choosing The Suporn Clinic for your operation. Our administrative team will be pleased to answer any questions you have about surgery, and how we will look after you when you are in our care, with the exception of actually booking a date at this stage.

Backlog

There will be a backlog created by these changes, which we will work hard to clear as soon as is possible by increasing the “per week” availability of operations. Right now we are unable to forecast a new schedule with an increased number of available dates until we better know when we can resume operations. Please try to help us by reducing our administrative burden, by not asking when things will get back to normal. We will notify you through this page when we know that ourselves. Right now – we don’t know.

Effect on Cosmetic Improvement Operations

We will consider the suspension to have been in effect since the date of the last primary operation done, which was 7 March 2020.

All clients who underwent major surgery before 7 September 2018 are no longer eligible for free CI operations in any event after the date of the suspension.
